Paint & Craft Summer Camp for Children - 2011
Hues & Shades conducted a summer camp for children in 2011 the details of which can be found below.
Summer Camp 2011 Notice
Hues & Shades is pleased to announce a Paint & Craft Summer Camp for Children. The objective of the summer camp is to teach children to use acrylic and poster colours to create art work by painting various artifacts like pots, pen stands, Plaster of Paris castings, paper models etc. In some of the activities children will also be encouraged to make these artifacts themselves before painting them like making a pen stand, diorama , etc. The details of the camp are as follows.

  • In all 9 activities have been planned spanning 10 days, 2.5hrs a day for a total camp duration of 25 hrs.
  • The camp is open only to children between the ages of 7 to 14 years.
  • Each camp will have a maximum of 10 children and a camp will commence only if a minimum of 5 students enrol for the camp
  • Enrolment is on a first come first serve basis
  • All material required in the camp will be supplied. Children will not be required to bring any material to the camp.
  • Each child will be provided with an individual kit containing the required materials at the start of the camp which will be retained in the camp premises during the duration of the camp
  • On completion of the camp children can take back home all unused materials
  • Children will also carry back home their art work at the end of each activity, which they can retain.
  • The camp fees is inclusive of the cost of materials
  • Fees will be collected at the time of enrolment (In the event of the camp not commencing the fees will be returned in full)
  • On cancellation of enrolment the cost of the kit will be deducted from the camp fees and the kit along with rest of the fees will be returned
  • Parents will not be allowed to be present during the camp activity sessions
  • Please note that this is not a painting course and does not teach classical painting techniques on paper, canvas, etc.


Camp fees

  • The Camp Fees per Child inclusive of all materials is Rs. 1,350/- to be paid at the time of enrolment


Camp schedule

  • The first camp will be conducted starting on 18th April to 29th April between 10:00am to 12:30pm on all days other than Saturday and Sunday.
  • The last date for enrolling for the camp is 11th April


Details of activities planned in the camp

  • Pot Painting - Painting motifs on an earthen / Plaster of Paris pot using acrylic colours
  • Decorative Plate - Making a decorative plate by painting patterns on a paper / plastic / foam plate. Making a decorated stand for the plate
  • Glass Flower Vase - Making a glass flower vase by painting motifs on a re-cycled glass bottle using acrylic paints
  • Embossed Pot Painting - Painting of Embossed art work on earthen / Plaster of Paris pot using acrylic colours and fabric glitters
  • Fabric Painting - Sketching and painting a motif on cloth using acrylic colours and fabric glitters
  • Pen Stand - Making a pen stand out of a paper cup / re-cycled coke can, paint, sequence, fabric glitter, ice cream sticks, etc.
  • Artifact Painting - Painting small pre-cast Plaster of Paris artifacts like flowers, fruits, etc.
  • Mask Wall Hanging - Painting small precast Plaster of Paris masks and creating a wall hanging by mounting the painted masks on a decorated piece of hard board.
  • Diorama - Creating a scene using painted paper artifacts with a blend in painted background.
